There is hope, there is a solution and together we can create a plan that best supports your healing and recovery!

My passion is holistic addiction and mental health recovery. I have been supporting individuals and families on the path of healing for over ten years. I have a Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Victoria, I am registered with the College of Social Workers of British Columbia and I am also a registered counsellor with the Crime Victims Assistance Program. I have training in Indigenous Cultural Safety, as well as experience serving Indigenous families and communities.

I am a registered Yoga Teacher and I have extensive training in yoga for trauma and addiction recovery. I believe strongly in the healing power of yoga and somatic therapies both professionally and personally.  I created BE Counselling with the vision and passion of wanting to empower individuals to heal and live their fullest expression.

I offer gentle, holistic counselling support that treats the whole person and considers the connection of the mind/body/spirit. When we feel a disconnect to any aspects of our self it is often experienced as stress, fear, anxiety, depression, anger. Counselling and guidance can support your journey back to wholeness. With increased self awareness and control, clients quickly gain new insight, confidence and tap into new creative forces within.

I am a fourth generation settler. I acknowledge, in deep respect, that we are gathered on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territory of the Coast Salish peoples–Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.

I work with adults, elders, adolescents, children, couples and families in areas such as:

  • Individual Counselling
  • Mindfulness
  • Parenting
  • Self Esteem
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • PTSD
  • LGBTQ Advocacy & Support
  • Life-Coaching
  • Abuse
  • Addiction Counselling
  • Postpartum Support
  • Grief & Loss
  • Couples Therapy
  • Family Counselling

Approach

What is getting in the way of your happiness?

Healing, Recovery and Self-Discovery

I strive to empower individuals to honour the still, quiet voice inside. Even in the depths of our darkness we still believe that there must be a better way. Our work together is to heed the inner voice, to fan the inner amber, and give yourself permission to heal.

My approach begins with creating a relaxing, safe and supportive space for self exploration.
Depending on the need of the client, a counselling session may include talk therapy, somatic therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, yoga, mindfulness, breath work, meditation, nutritional education and spiritual guidance.

Addiction Support

I offer individualized and holistic recovery support plans that provide much needed structure and connection to support and sustain healing from addiction.

You become the driving force in your own self-work, I am merely a guide helping you tap into inner resources that have always been there.

Begin your journey to empowering yourself and the lives around you!

Why Counselling?

Counselling is a tool that we use as a way to further understand ourselves and navigate the often stressful world we live in.  Through counselling we can release certain blockages or thought patterns that have been holding us back creatively and feel more grounded and centered. The right counsellor can help reconnect you to your Higher Self and empower you to find the inner strength and wisdom to evoke the change you want to see in your life!
