Brooke Evans, MSW, RSW

I have been supporting individuals and families struggling with mental health concerns, grief and loss, traumas, separation, domestic violence and addictions for over ten years. I have a Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Victoria, I am registered with the College of Social Workers of British Columbia and I am also a registered counsellor with the Crime Victims Assistance Program. I also have extensive yoga training in yoga for trauma, anxiety and depression.  I created BE Counselling with the vision and passion of wanting to empower individuals to be them selves and live their fullest expression.

I offer gentle, holistic counselling support that treats the whole person and considers the connection of the mind/body/spirit. When we feel a disconnect to any aspects of our self it is often experienced as stress, fear, anxiety, depression, anger. Counselling and guidance can support your journey back to wholeness. With increased self awareness and control, clients quickly gain new insight, confidence and tap into new creative forces within.

I work with adults, elders, adolescents, children, couples and families in areas such as:

  • Individual Counselling
  • Mindfulness
  • Parenting
  • Self Esteem
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • PTSD
  • LGBTQ Advocacy & Support
  • Life-Coaching
  • Abuse
  • Addiction Counselling
  • Postpartum Support
  • Grief & Loss
  • Couples Therapy
  • Family Counselling

What is getting in the way of your happiness?

I strive to empower individuals to honour the still, quiet voice inside. My approach begins with creating a relaxing, safe and supportive space for self exploration.
Depending on the need of the client, a counselling session may include talk therapy, somatic therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, mindfulness, breath work, meditation, nutritional education and spiritual guidance.

You become the driving force in your own self-work, I am merely a guide helping you tap into inner resources that have always been there.

Begin your journey to empowering yourself and the lives around you!

Why Counselling

Why is counselling helpful?

Counselling is a tool that we use as a way to further understand ourselves and navigate the often stressful world we live in.  Through counselling we can release certain blockages or thought patterns that have been holding us back creatively and feel more grounded and centered. The right counsellor can help reconnect you with your self and empower you to find the inner strength and wisdom to evoke the change you want to see in your life!
